TradeGuild (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a social virtual demo-trading game. Players form guilds and compete on the return of a simulated portfolio funded with virtual currency. There is no real money, no real securities, and virtual funds have no cash value. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We designed TradeGuild to collect as little personal information as possible.

a) Information you provide

You can start playing instantly with an anonymous account — no name, email, or phone number required.
If you choose to sign in, you may connect a Google or Apple account. We receive a basic identifier (and, if you allow it, your email) solely to keep your progress, portfolio, and guild membership tied to you across devices.
A display name and a preset avatar you select, your guild name, and preset emoji reactions you post are stored so guild features work. Do not include personal information in a display name or guild name.
Your app settings (theme, language, notification preferences) are stored on your device.

b) Information collected automatically

Advertising & analytics identifiers. We use Google AdMob to show ads and Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous app usage. These services may process device identifiers (such as an advertising ID), IP address, general device information, and app interaction events.
Game data. Your virtual orders, virtual portfolio, and season results are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) to run rankings and guild competition.
Push notification token. If you enable notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns a device token so we can deliver rank-change and season alerts for the topics you subscribe to.
Crash and performance data may be collected to keep the App stable.

c) Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or any real financial-account or payment-card information.
Trading in the App is entirely simulated; we never place real trades and never connect to a brokerage.

2. Public leaderboards and rankings

TradeGuild is a competitive game, so some of your information is uploaded to our servers and shown publicly to other players. Specifically, the following appear on the in-app global player league, the guild league, and your guild’s activity feed:

your display name;
your avatar (a preset image, or one you upload);
your simulated portfolio performance — the percentage return of your virtual portfolio, your rank, and your tier badge;
your guild name and membership, and your season results;
to the members of your guild only, the composition of your simulated portfolio — the ticker symbols you hold and the quantities, shown as a share of your book. Your cash balance, your cost basis and your profit or loss are never published.

This data is stored on our servers (Google Firebase) and is readable by other players of the App. It never includes your email address, your real name, or any real financial information — all trading figures are simulated.

Your choice. The App asks for your agreement before your results are published, and you can leave the public leaderboards at any time in Settings → Privacy. If you opt out, you can keep playing and keep your own portfolio; your entry is removed from the global and guild leaderboards. The leagues are reciprocal, so while you are opted out the in-app Ranking screen is closed to you as well — you are neither listed on the boards nor able to browse other players' entries. Deleting your account removes your leaderboard entries entirely.

3. How we use information

To provide and operate the App’s features (virtual trading, guilds, seasons, rankings, the AI coach review, notifications).
To display advertising, including through Google AdMob.
To measure aggregate, anonymous usage and improve the App.
To maintain fair play, security, and to diagnose technical problems.

4. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, the App asks for your permission before using your device’s advertising identifier for tracking, as required by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. You can grant or deny this at any time in your device Settings. If you deny tracking, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads. You can learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can remove all ads by purchasing the TradeGuild Pro subscription.

6. Subscriptions

TradeGuild offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (“Pro”) that removes ads and unlocks extra features. Payments, billing, and renewals are handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

7. User content and community

Guild names, display names, and preset emoji reactions are visible to other players. The App does not offer free-form chat. We provide tools to report or block content and users, and we remove content that violates our rules. Do not post content that is unlawful, infringing, or that identifies another person.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob and Google Firebase (Analytics, Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, App Check) — policies.google.com/privacy
Apple Sign in with Apple, and Apple App Store / Google Play for subscription billing.
Market price data used to value virtual portfolios is obtained from publicly available market-data sources; no personal data is sent to them.

9. Data retention and deletion

Local settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data from within the App (Settings → Delete account), or via our account deletion page. Analytics and advertising data are retained by the respective providers according to their policies.

10. Children’s privacy

TradeGuild is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Your choices

You can decline, or later leave, the public leaderboards (Settings → Privacy).
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.
You can disable notifications in the App or your device settings.
You can purchase Pro to remove ads.
You can delete your account at any time in the App.
On iOS you can change tracking permission at any time in Settings.

12. International users

The App is available worldwide. By using the App, you understand that your information may be processed by the third-party services listed above, which may operate in various countries.

13. Not investment advice

TradeGuild is a game that simulates trading with virtual currency. It is not investment advice and does not recommend buying or selling any security. Virtual performance does not predict real-world results. Make your own decisions and do your own research.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
